The finalists and winners of the Billboard Music Awards are determined by Billboard and its data partners, including MRC Data, based on key fan experiences with music, such as album and digital song purchases, downloading, radio airplay, and social participation. The map date for this year’s awards is March 21, 2020, to April 3, 2021. This year’s fan-voted categories include best social artists and best collaboration.
Pop Smoke and BTS were among the other big winners, while Icon Award winner Pink performed an acrobatic routine with her 9-year-old daughter, and Drake accepted the Artist of the Decade Award with his 3-year-old son.
