BAFTA Awards 2021: Adarsh Gourav loses Best Actor Award to Anthony Hopkins. Complete winner list

BAFTA-Awards

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has declared its award winners. Adarsh Gourav, who was nominated for Best Actor for Netflix’s The White Tiger, was defeated by Sir Anthony Hopkins, who played The Father. In addition, The White Tiger came up short in the category of Best Adapted Screenplay. The award for The Father went to Christopher Hampton and Florian Zeller. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the BAFTA ceremony was split into two evenings.

Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas both attended the BAFTA Awards this year. Bukky Bakray received the EE Rising Star Award from her. For the red carpet, the actress chose a stunning red embroidered jacket with white harem trousers. She wore a black suit to the award ceremony.

Nomadland, a road movie from the United States, took home four awards in the categories of Best Film, Best Actress, Best Director, and Best Cinematography. With six nominations, Nomadland is one of the frontrunners for this month’s Academy Awards. It was nominated for Golden Globes for Best Drama Film and Best Director earlier this month. Ang Lee, best known for his films Brokeback Mountain and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, received a BAFTA Academy Fellowship.
