Army of the Dead Trailer: Zack Snyder’s Heist-Zombie Drama Features Huma Qureshi and Dave Bautista

The trailer of Zack Snyder’s much-anticipated zombie movie Army of the Dead is out, and it looks like a good one. The trailer begins with Dave Bautista’s character being hired to steal $200 million from under the Las Vegas strip. Just as we’re getting used to the idea of a heist film, the teaser suddenly changes gears and becomes a zombie thriller.

Huma Qureshi, a Bollywood actress playing a crucial character in the movie, is also featured in the trailer.

Not only are there human zombies in the trailer, but there’s even a tiger zombie, which looks a lot like the dead horses from Game of Thrones.

Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Ana de la Reguera, Theo Rossi, Matthias Schweighöfer, Nora Arnezeder, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tig Notaro, Ral Castillo, Samantha Win, Michael Cassidy, Richard Cetrone, and Garret Dillahunt star alongside Bautista and Qureshi.

“From filmmaker Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen, Zack Snyder’s Justice League), ARMY OF THE DEAD begins after a zombie outbreak which has left Las Vegas in ruins and walled off from the rest of the world,” according to the trailer’s YouTube explanation.

When Scott Ward (Dave Bautista), a recent zombie war hero who now works as a burger flipper on the outskirts of the town he now calls home, is confronted by casino boss Bly Tanaka (Hiroyuki Sanada), he is offered the ultimate deal: break into the zombie-infested restricted zone to retrieve $200 million from a vault underneath the strip until the city is nuked by the government in 32 hours.

Ward accepts the offer, gathering a ragtag team of professionals for the heist with nothing to lose. ” With a time constraint, a famously impenetrable vault, and a smarter, quicker army of Alpha zombies closing in, only one thing is certain in the greatest heist ever tried: survivors take all.”

Netflix will begin broadcasting Army of the Dead on May 21.
