On 14 June 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput left all of us by committing suicide. Sushant Singh Rajput, a Bollywood actor, was discovered dead in his apartment hanging from a ceiling fan in Bandra, Mumbai.

Sushant Singh Rajput Acting Career

During his college days, SSR joined Shaimak Davar’s dance classes. He was motivated by his peers in dancing courses, and he enrolled in Barry John’s drama lessons to learn acting.

At dance courses, he was picked for the standard dance troupe. Sushant was a background dancer at the 51st Filmfare Awards in 2005. In 2006, he and other members of the group performed at the Commonwealth Games’ opening ceremony.

SSR moved to Mumbai and joined Nadira Babbar’s Ekjute theatre troupe, with whom he remained for more than two years. After a TV commercial for Nestle Munch, SSR became well-known.

Balaji Telefilms’ casting crew spotted one of SSR’s stage plays for Ekjute in 2008 and called him for an audition. He was offered the character of Preet Juneja in the ‘Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil.’ He got well-known as a result of his part.

He was featured as Manav Deshmukh in the daily soap ‘Pavitra Rishta’ in 2009. He appeared on the dancing reality show “Zara Nachke Dikha 2” in 2010 as a member of the Mast Kalandar Boys Team.

He also appeared in ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 4′ in the same year, teaming with choreographer Shampa Sonthalia. He quit ‘Pavitra Rishta’ in 2011 to pursue a film-making course abroad.

In 2013, he made his acting debut in the film “Kai Po Che!”. In the same year, he co-starred alongside Parineeti Chopra and Vaani Kapoor in the film Shuddh Desi Romance.

In 2014, he appeared in the film PK alongside Anushka Sharma in a minor role. He was a lead role in the film “Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!” in 2015.

In 2016, in the movie “M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story,” Sushant was a lead actor. This movie was a big blockbuster film, and people still love his character as M.S. Dhoni. In 2017, he co-starred in the film ‘Raabta’ with Kriti Sanon. In 2018, he co-starred in the film “Kedarnath” with Sara Ali Khan. Awards of Sushant Singh Rajput

SSR won the Indian Television Academy Awards for Most Popular Actor (Male), Big Star Entertainment Awards for Best Television Actor (Male), and Boroplus Gold Awards for Best Actor in a Lead Role for ‘Pavitra Rishta.’

In 2011, he was awarded Kalakar Awards Favourite Actor for his performance in “Pavitra Rishta” (Male).

For the film “Kai Po Che!” Sushant won the Screen Award for Best Male Debut in 2014.

For the film “M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story,” Sushant won Screen Awards Best Actor (Critics) and Indian Film Festival of Melbourne Best Actor in 2017.

Sushant Singh Rajput Death, Relationships, and Personal Life

SSR committed suicide on June 14, 2020, when he hanged himself at his Mumbai home. In the year 2015, Sushant was rumoured to have married Ankita. In 2019, it was reported that SSR and Rhea Chakraborty were dating. The actor’s mother died in 2002, and his entire family relocated from Patna to Delhi.

Following Sushant’s death, plenty of celebrities came forward to demand for Maharashtra Police to investigate. When the CBI took up the case in August 2020, the investigation was halted.
