H&Entertainment, Kwak Dong Yeon’s agency, issued an official statement confirming the offer. They assert that “True, actor Kwak Dong Yeon has gotten a casting offer from the ‘Strange’ production team. And he’s giving the project a positive response.”

In addition to directing the new series, Yeon Sang Ho will co-write the narrative for Strange with writer Ryu Yong Jae, who also wrote the script for My Holo Love. The Korean adaptation of Money Heist is also reported to be written by Ryu Yong Jae.
Strange, a TVING original series, will be directed by award-winning director Jang Kun Jae. With his film masterwork A Midsummer’s Fantasia, Jang Kun Jae has a remarkable directing resume, having recently won the DGK Award at the Busan International Film Festival and the FIPRESCI Award at the Korean Association of Film Critics Awards.
Climax Studio, which also created the Netflix originals Hell and D.P, will produce the upcoming drama Strange, which will be distributed by TVING.
If Kwak Dong Yeon accepts the role, it will be his next drama endeavor after the widely praised Vincenzo.

Kwak Dong-yeon (Korean: 곽동연; Hanja: 郭東延; born 19 March 1997) is a South Korean musician and actor. In 2012, he made his acting debut in the television series My Husband Got a Family, for which he won the Korea Drama Awards’ Best Young Actor Award. He went on to star in Adolescence Medley (2013), Modern Farmer (2014), and the historical drama Love in the Moonlight in 2016. Kwak is also a member and lead guitarist of FNC Entertainment’s Kokoma Band (literally, “Little Kids’ Band”).
